There is seating near the Nelson Statue in Parade Square and up on the grassy mound overlooking the Solent and the church. There is a cafe at the hotwalls. Bring your usual sketching gear, refreshments, sunhat and sun cream. Please share your work on the group page afterwards to encourage others to do the same. The Asheville, Greenville, and Charlotte urban sketching chapters are hosting a full day event in the charming town of Forest City. The event is free, but we suggest a $10 cash donation at the event to cover expenses, with the remaining funds being donated to the global Urban Sketchers organization. We are limiting the attendance to 70 tickets. Free goodie bags! We‘ll also be doing our postcard sized sketch exchange with Urban Sketchers Queretaro at the event. If we get too many sketches, we‘ll exchange sketches between the local chapters. Mike Daikubara, the current Vice President of the global Urban Sketchers organization, will be giving an Introduction to Urban Sketching presentation for those who are new to urban sketching.
