Estamos contentísim@s de participar en la próxima edición del ART-SUR en Montemayor (Córdoba). ‘Art Sur. Arte en Acción’ es un encuentro multidisciplinar de arte y de artistas que inició su andadura en el pueblo de La Victoria y que, tras un breve paso por Posadas, se celebra en la actualidad en Montemayor (Córdoba). Su objetivo acercar el arte contemporáneo al mundo rural, buscando siempre la participación de sus habitantes. Este año hemos sido invitad@s por la organización para convocar una quedada de urban sketchers en el festival. Si te gusta el dibujo y quieres unirte a nosotr@s ¡serás bienvenid@! Desde las 10:00 hasta las 13:00 estaremos dibujando las distintas obras realizadas por los otros artistas de Art-Sur. A las 13:30 nos vemos en la Plaza de la Constitución para hacernos la foto de familia y ver nuestros dibujos. Después compartiremos una cerveza hablando sobre dibujo y prepararemos nuestra exposición de cuadernos y dibujos. Si quieres exponer varios dibujos te recomendamos llevar hojas sueltas. La inauguración de la exposición es a las 17:00.

We would like to invite you to another drawing and painting plein-air from the series "Following Wyspianski"! This time we will meet in Tarnów, where our Master sketched for over a month, filling 3 sketchbooks during that time! During this May weekend, we want to introduce you to his early work and show you the advantages of drawing live in the field. During the workshops, we will present various techniques used in urban sketching, which you will be able to use later during joint sketch fights. We were once again inspired by the publication by Piotr and Tadeusz Lopatkiewicz "Stanislaw Wyspianski‘s Sketchbooks". When: May 2-4, 2024 Where: Tarnów Program: + guided tour around Tarnów in the footsteps of Wyspianski and his sketchbooks + 4 different outdoor workshops related to urban sketching: watercolor, gouache, crayons, perspective in the city + drawing meetings with Urban Sketchers Poland + evening drinks and draws + virtual outdoor exhibition Registration: uskpoland@gmail.com Cost: PLN 300/person Accommodation and meals: on your own Sketching materials: we provide all necessary materials, but you can also bring your favorite tools and sketchbooks. We are waiting for your applications until February 29. The number of places is limited. The workshops will be led by Justyna Wojnowska and Dora Pindur, who have been traveling with sketchbooks in the footsteps of Wyspianski for four years, visiting less and more famous places related to the artist and promoting urban sketching. They are also administrators of the Urban Sketchers Poland group (www.uskpoland.pl) and run outdoor workshops in various cities.

All are invited, Participants unlimited but registration (opens in May online) is necessary to take part in skech walks. We looking forward to show you our home town! (Please note: Sunday is "Open Monument Day", when many otherwise closed sights are accessible. So it‘s best to stay until Monday!)

2nd Annual Event: “Sketch Racine” … Sketchers “loved” our friendly and scenic city! $75.00 for the weekend We continue to highlight the amazing and fun spots in Racine. This year we have included loving Alpacas and the farm at Eco-Justice (after all, most people live in a city and never experience a farm), we added a Sketch Exhibit at Spectrum Gallery – as sketchers register, they will drop off a framed sketch and we will curate the exhibit instantly. We will enjoy restaurants and the harbor town atmosphere in downtown sketching public butterfly art, the harbor and boats, city skyline and the Red Lighthouse. We will continue our day in the afternoon at Gateway Technical East Park where we will be met by a Preservation Racine docent and given a presentation and walk-around of the Southside Historic District. The evening will be topped off with a catered Old Madrid Tapa and Sketch Party to share the days sketches and excitement. Sunday morning, we will sketch the historic and peaceful DeKoven Grounds and St. John’s Chapel.
