PTB - Olá pessoal, vamos desenhar no próximo sábado? O #211USkSP vai acontecer no dia 27 de Abril (sábado) das 10:00h às 12:30h no Beco do Batman. R. Medeiros de Albuquerque, 82-154 - Vila Madalena. O Beco do Batman é uma travessa localizada na Vila Madalena, um bairro boêmio da zona oeste da cidade de São Paulo. Ele está localizado entre as vielas do bairro, mais precisamente nas ruas Gonçalo Afonso e Medeiros de Albuquerque. O trecho recebeu esse nome devido a um grafite do Batman. artistas plásticos passaram a cobrir o Beco com arte de influência cubista e psicodélica nas paredes do Beco, o transformando em uma galeria. O local acabou por se tornar um ponto de turismo devido a dezenas de grafites pintados em seus muros. As artes são mantidas pelos grafiteiros e pela comunidade, e as paredes tornaram-se muito disputadas pelos artistas que querem expor seus trabalhos no local. Ponto de encontro final: Esquina da Rua Gonçalo Afonso. Até lá!

We have two Urban Sketchers visiting Tokyo, so let’s welcome them to one of the great new architecture areas of Tokyo — Omotesando. Since the weather for Saturday looks iffy, we will meet at Omotesando Hills at 10am and make the decision of whether to stay and sketch indoors, or to walk down Cat Street to see a fun trendy area of Tokyo. We will meet at Omotesando Hills main entrance. There’s not a ton of room, soif we have a very large group we may ask people to make smaller groups. Rain plan: Omotesando Hills is not as large as some areas, but they have an interesting and colorful event happening, and plenty of food and drink possibilities. There are several nearby coffee shops and cafes, as well, where you can see some of the architecture from a dry seat in a cafe. If the weather cooperates, we will stroll down Cat Street and end up in Shibuya. Big architecture buffs may want to walk down Meiji Dori, which is parallel to Cat Street, and also ends at Shibuya. We will decide where to do the throw down when we meet on Saturday morning. Estimated thrown down time is 12:30pm. We would like to invite you to another drawing and painting plein-air from the series "Following Wyspianski"! This time we will meet in Tarnów, where our Master sketched for over a month, filling 3 sketchbooks during that time! During this May weekend, we want to introduce you to his early work and show you the advantages of drawing live in the field. During the workshops, we will present various techniques used in urban sketching, which you will be able to use later during joint sketch fights. We were once again inspired by the publication by Piotr and Tadeusz Lopatkiewicz "Stanislaw Wyspianski‘s Sketchbooks". When: May 2-4, 2024 Where: Tarnów Program: + guided tour around Tarnów in the footsteps of Wyspianski and his sketchbooks + 4 different outdoor workshops related to urban sketching: watercolor, gouache, crayons, perspective in the city + drawing meetings with Urban Sketchers Poland + evening drinks and draws + virtual outdoor exhibition Registration: uskpoland@gmail.com Cost: PLN 300/person Accommodation and meals: on your own Sketching materials: we provide all necessary materials, but you can also bring your favorite tools and sketchbooks. We are waiting for your applications until February 29. The number of places is limited. The workshops will be led by Justyna Wojnowska and Dora Pindur, who have been traveling with sketchbooks in the footsteps of Wyspianski for four years, visiting less and more famous places related to the artist and promoting urban sketching. To coincide with this year‘s International Urban Sketches Week, we have invited two sketchers with different styles to demonstrate sketching Tokyo Tower. The first is Hosouchikazunori (www.instagram.com/kazunorihosouchi), who draws with delicate and precise lines. Hosouchikazunori has been featured in several books on sketching, including one by Seattle urban sketcher Stephanie Bauer. The second is none other than me! (www.instagram.com/sinizzio). Recently, I have given demos at events such as the Street View World Tour hosted by Eleanor Doughty (www.instagram.com/herbcoil). I plan to challenge myself with a completely improvised sketch, using a style that draws as it is without any calculations. Will I be able to fit my Tokyo Tower on the screen? (lol) Date and time: Sunday, May 5, 2024. Meet at the Zojoji Temple signal at 10 am. After that, move to the sketch location and conduct the demonstration. The demo will last about an hour or so, finish before lunch, and then everyone will have a break for lunch to sketch, followed by a throwdown (presentation) at 2 pm. Wellcome to the GERMAN ANNUAL USK GATHERING in the beautiful and historical city of Leipzig from Sept 6th - 9th. All are invited, Participants unlimited but registration (opens in May online) is necessary to take part in skech walks. We looking forward to show you our home town! This year we have included loving Alpacas and the farm at Eco-Justice (after all, most people live in a city and never experience a farm), we added a Sketch Exhibit at Spectrum Gallery – as sketchers register, they will drop off a framed sketch and we will curate the exhibit instantly. We will enjoy restaurants and the harbor town atmosphere in downtown sketching public butterfly art, the harbor and boats, city skyline and the Red Lighthouse. We will continue our day in the afternoon at Gateway Technical East Park where we will be met by a Preservation Racine docent and given a presentation and walk-around of the Southside Historic District. The evening will be topped off with a catered Old Madrid Tapa and Sketch Party to share the days sketches and excitement. Sunday morning, we will sketch the historic and peaceful DeKoven Grounds and St. John’s Chapel. La Trobada USk del Mediterrani es un encuentro entre los y las urban skectchers que existen alrededor del Mediterráneo con el fin de destacar y promover, tanto la diversidad de visiones de cada grupo, y su intercambio, todo bajo la mirada común de la cultura mediterránea. De esta forma logramos visibilizar la ciudad y su patrimonio, a través de los dibujos que realizamos de manera rápida y a pie de calle.
